I believe if every person had a coach as a thinking partner, we would live in a better World

My coaching style

  • Actively engaging with and reflecting back your linguistic, behavioural and non-verbal communication

  • Supporting and challenging appropriately

  • Being open and honest in conversations

  • Asking questions to explore issues more deeply

  • Helping you to work things out for yourself and deepen awareness; not about giving advice

  • Thinking about how change happens โ€“ can be almost immediate or happen over time

  • Providing a confidential and non-judgemental space

  • Professional and ethical practice guided by the International Coaching Federation (ICF)

Nature has always been very important to me: climbing munros from the age of 5, enjoying exercises, deployments and work outdoors in the Army as well as turning to the restorative power of regular beach runs and nature walks to recover from burnout.

Authenticity at the heart of my business

Gullane East Lothian

Gorgeous day here.  The vivid colours and lively breeze were the perfect environment to think more deeply and broadly about an important opportunity.  Walking and thinking helped me to be more intentional in the next steps I will take and focus on growth.

I hope you have the same clarity and purpose today ๐Ÿ˜Š.

I bring calmness and focus to all my coaching sessions. The understanding that we are part of a larger system helps to put the stresses and anxieties of daily life into perspective.  It also helps to promote kindness and embrace vulnerability as there is no ego or expectations from nature.

Iโ€™m naturally curious and playful, often seeing conversations in visual images so love drawing pictures and placing shells to create living maps of the systems we uncover.  I invite clients to boost their creativity and focus by partnering with the natural landscape in this way if it is helpful.

VOLUNTEER WORK

I am a proud veteran and after a challenging transition out of the Army, wanted to give back.  This led me to qualify as a peer mentor and volunteer for SSAFA the Armed Forces Charity.  I mentor military service leavers in East Lothian and the wider Edinburgh area.

I am also a volunteer mentor for the Chartered Management Institute, helping support managers and leaders in business.  I believe in the transformative effect of supporting local businesses and organisations in my community, so we grow together.  World Citizenship is a powerful concept and one that I ascribe to.
